Welcome

Welcome to Cairns, the gateway to Australia's Great Barrier Reef and the destination for the 2018 SOMANZ Annual Scientific Meeting. With a great program put together by our program organising committee, we are sure you will find something informative and beneficial to you. There are no concurrent sessions in the program so you will be able to enjoy all sessions during the three days.

A big Australian welcome to our excellent international speaker – Dr David Williams who brings a wealth of knowledge to share with you. David is an obstetric physician based at The Institute for Women’s Health, University College London Hospital (UCLH), UK.

Our thanks to all our invited speakers for contributing your time and to share the valuable information they have. SOMANZ continues to show the strength of the conference program with over 70 abstracts submitted for inclusion in the conference program as oral or poster presentations.

A special thanks to everyone who assisted with the organisation of this year’s meeting including the team at ASN Events and our Executive Officer Suzie Neylon who have kept us all on track. We appreciate all the time contributed from volunteers who reviewed abstracts, the judges of the oral and poster presentations, the session chairs and to all the delegates who have attended this meeting.
